Benji's B & B at Charlotte's  Plantation, when started 14 years ago, was one of first luxury pet boarding, daycare, open play and socialization centers in the USA. Concierge Specialist Role

This team role is the first and final point of contact with client and our Fury Friend Guests. They understand that listening, courtesy and initiative is more important than talk, answers and directives. They know that half the challenge is greeting someone at the door and welcoming them as an important guest into your home. Client and dog’s needs come first. Hospitality for our clients and dogs  is critical.  

Job Duties Include:

  • Greet clients and dogs and assess their needs (handicap, blindness, diabetics, and need of socialization)
  • Assess degree of dog aggressiveness and communicate results with owner - Aggressive dogs not taken.
  • Manage reservations and determine needs of dog (socialization plan, quiet area for elderly dogs, small vs large dog boarding, feeding and medication instructions)
  • Facilitate pickup and payment process including coordination with Kennel staff.
  • Participate in administration of membership program
  • Participate in repeat, new client and social media outreach
  • Participate in period community outreach events
  • Participate in guest feedback, and quality program at check out process

Required Qualifications:

  • Loves and enjoys working with dogs - This is a must
  • Client focused, conscientious and caring
  • Aspires to work in pet industry
  • Experience in customer service or working with the public
  • History of acquiring new skills and adaptable
  • Comfortable with telemarketing, computer skills and learning new technology
  • Can handle animals of different sizes, breeds and temperaments
  • Must be adaptable in sometimes busy and stressful situations
  • Comfortable in working in a safety first environment
  • Organized, attention to detail with math skills
