 Metal Trades, Inc. is a highly capable heavy steel fabricator specializing in Industrial Fabrication, Barge Construction, Commercial Marine Construction and Ship Repair. We currently have multiple openings at our facility which is 20 minutes south of Charleston, SC. In business for over 50 years!

 

Description:

Will receive and identify material.  Will locate, retrieve. Load and unload material utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment which move material to and from trucks within the facility.  Will tally types and quantities against receiving and shipping documents.  Will palletize, stack, and otherwise place and arrange items in the storage location according to their size, shape, weight, quantity, type, stock number, letter and number codes and follow established procedures in removing items form storage.  Designs, fabricates and loads boxes for shipment. Operates heavy equipment such as forklift.  Has knowledge of standard practices and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Supervision: Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Education: May require a high school diploma with 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
